These photographs were taken in the studio, using only diffused natural light and two black and white full length reflectors. I like these photographs because of the tone and subtlety. I also like these because of the amount of negative space, the dark background doesn't distract you from the subjects face and features. In the last three photographs, Stephens is looking directly at the camera, twined with the light in his eyes, the photographs look emotional and have a psychological relationship with the viewer. I like the way the subjects hands add to the photos, the way the light rests on them, really shows the tone and form of them.
